Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe was born in South London, England into a family of mixed blood. Her father and mother were both English. She was born and lived in a housing estate run by the council in the south of London. When she was 14, she attended The Brit School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in acting from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. While at school she appeared in numerous stage plays, including King Henry V's Princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe's acting career began in the series Storm Damage. She has since made appearances in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe landed her first motion picture in the 2007 Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. After that her role was Elisha in the one-off BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN which aired in 2007 and she also appeared in the six episodes of Trexx and Flipside playing Ollie. In 2008 she landed Bambi's part on the ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was in the series 2 and 3. Madekwe was the main character in 2008's comedy How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Her theatre credits include Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe officially made her US debut with The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes at The CW, and was then removed from the air. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge in February of 2011. Madekwe was a regular on the drama series on ABC Revenge during two seasons. In May 2013 that she was set to be leaving the series following a guest episode in the very first season of the third. In 2014 and 2016, she starred as Tituba in the TV series Salem. Then, in June of 2012 she got married to her long-time partner actor Iddo Goldberg. The two have collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he is also a part of the cast on the TV show Salem.

Ashley Leggat, an actress that was nominated two times for a Gemini Award, is a member of the large Hamilton family. Her four older brothers were also in the family and included twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's four brothers, each of them extremely active, took part in hockey during the winter months and played baseball in the summer months, which means that she grew up playing in parks and arenas. Ashley was not a walker, but she would dance. At age two and half she discovered Baby Ballet. It was then that she discovered Ashley's love for dancing. Ashley was a competitor in ballet, tap and jazz in the high divisions. She won the top soloist awards at all of the most prestigious dance competitions like, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance to name a few.
